Although we’re most known for putting shows on stage,
RCT can also throw a mean party!
From our annual events like a Halloween costume party, a special breakfast with your favorite princess or superhero, or a holiday light display to one-time events, there are always memories to be made at RCT.

What is Stage Fright – Monster Bash?
Stage Fright is Richmond Civic Theatre’s annual FUN-raising event. Basically, a giant Halloween Costume Party. As this event is intended to raise funds to support RCT’s season, we do ask that folks consider a contribution at the event by using our QR code. The party comes at a cost and ideally, it will turn a profit. That’s only possible with additional support. Thankfully, we have some generous sponsors this year – Reid Health, Monica Koechlein, Dave & Cheri Jetmore, and VanVleet Insurance. If you’d like to donate to the event in lieu of attendance, please go to our website and click DONATE.
How do I get tickets to the event?
You can click “Buy Tickets” above, or you can call our office at 765-962-8011. Or you can click this link and go straight to the ticketing page: https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?show=229846
How much are tickets?
Guest Tickets (General Admission) is $35 per person. Patron Tickets are $75 and those are guaranteed seating at VIP tables. Private Sponsor Tables are $800 (table of 8) and include priority placement at the event as well as complimentary bottle of bubbly.
Is there a ticket/RSVP deadline?
Heck yes! You’ve got to get those tickets before 5pm on October 18th, or you’re out of luck. There will be NO tickets sold at the door this year!
Is there an age restriction?
Yes. This is an adult party. Only people 18 years and older are allowed. Attendees under 21 will be identified as such and carded. There will be non-alcoholic beverages on premises for our underage and sober friends.
What should I expect when I arrive?
You’ll simply check in with a volunteer, have your photo taken, and the rest of the evening is up to you. This year, we have revamped the event based on attendee feedback from last year. Much of the evening will be dancing and costume contest. More food, more fun, more frivolity is what the community wanted, and we’ve listened. Case in point, there will be no scheduled “entertainment” this year other than the costume contest. However, there may be a surprise appearance by RCT performers…but you’ll have to come to know for sure. Shhhhhhh.
Will there be food and a bar?
Absolutely! This year, we are thrilled to have catering by our friend Cathy Hillard (Smiley’s) and Downtown Deli & Catering! She’s prepared a veritable smorgasbord mouthwatering party food! The bar will be hosted by our friends from The Cordial Cork – brewing up potions to make your spine tingle!
Do I have to come in a Halloween Costume?
Why not? It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. Come as you are and have fun. But yes, Halloween Costumes are strongly encouraged. If you’re struggling to think of something to wear, the theme of this year’s event is based on the classic Universal Horror Movie Monsters. So, think Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, Wolfman, etc. Great resources for costumes are Amazon, or www.halloweencostumes.com. PLEASE NOTE: Richmond Civic Theatre DOES NOT rent costumes to individuals for events like this. We only rent to schools, and other theatres.
If I purchase a Guest Ticket, will I have a place to sit?
There will be general admission seating areas, yes. However, the only way to guarantee a place to sit all evening is by purchasing either an individual $75 Patron Ticket, OR a Private VIP Table of your own. Besides, we hope people will be up and visiting with friends and dancing, etc.
